MEet the TDA BOARD 2021-2022
MAKRAND MAHALLEY CO-PRESIDENT
Makrand is a second-year student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, he worked in the semiconductor industry as hardware designer, focusing on sensor design for consumer electronics and med-tech devices. He also holds Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is passionate about consumer-facing technologies, with an emphasis on consumer electronics. Makrand spent his summer at Amazon as a Sr Product Management- Technical Intern, helping vendors launch products that have accurate forecasts on Amazon. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking extravagant meals, snowboarding and watching football.
LOHE MINDIOLA CO-PRESIDENT
Lohe is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, she was a senior full-stack software engineer at Goldman Sachs, mostly helping to build trading platforms, and she was also a Product Manager Volunteer at Code For Venezuela. Lohe spent her summer as a product management intern at Twitter, helping improve their Recommendation and Topics features. Originally from Venezuela, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and running.
SIDDHANTH “SID” MUNUKUTLA VP OF GROWTH & STRATEGY
Sid is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, he was a product development engineer at Intel Corporation where we worked on 3D NAND Flash memory for use in data centers and everyday consumer electronics. Sid spent his summer as a Product Manager Intern at Walmart where he worked on the Sam's club membership and marketing team focusing on identifying pain points and developing solutions to address customer retention. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, reading, exercising, playing the flute and sampling the wonderful food and drink places in New York City.
CLAIRE ILLMER VP OF PARTNERSHIPS
Claire Illmer is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School, currently interning at thredUP as a Product Manager for Search and Discovery. Prior to CBS, she worked at YouTube leading go-to-market strategy and operations for YouTube’s Search and News features. Claire is a fashion and design enthusiast, interested in exploring the intersection of retail and technology.
ERIC GLICKMAN VP OF CAREERS
Eric is a second-year MBA at CBS. This summer he interned for Apple on their supply chain consulting team. Prior to CBS, he led business strategy and operations for Monetate, a MarTech SaaS company acquired by Vista Equity Partners. He is an avid science fiction reader, biker, novice climber and also serves as a VP of outreach for Cluster Q, CBS’ LGBTQ+ affinity club.
CHRISTINE CHANG VP OF EDUCATION
Christine is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, she worked at Deloitte Consulting where she focused on customer strategy and pricing analytics projects for clients in technology, consumer products, and more. Christine spent her second semester working on strategic marketing initiatives at Frank Body, an Australian beauty startup, and her summer in Startup Strategy & Operations at Amazon Web Services. In addition to her role on the TDA board, Christine is also the VP of Careers for the Arts Society.
ANANT MUKIM VP OF SPECIAL PROJECTS
Anant Mukim is a second year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, he was a co-founder at Blurb Box, where he helped Fortune 500 companies with branding and marketing solutions. Alongside leading Blurb Box from launch to exit, he also co-ran an experimentation lab for direct-to-consumer ideas where he designed, tested and brought-to-market several e-commerce ventures across myriad product categories. Over the summer, he worked at eBay on their data-driven marketing team, helping them optimize + expand existing marketing campaigns, and also launch net-new campaigns. Anant is passionate about consumer tech, particularly consumer hardware, and can often be found giving unsolicited advice to friends on which phone/laptop/wearable to buy.
ZOE WEI VP OF ALUMNI & COMMUNITY
Zoe is a second year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, she worked as a strategy & operations consultant at Deloitte. Zoe spent her summer as a product solutions consultant at Google, helping publisher partners drive most values from Google’s Ads products. She is also a CMC Fellow. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, running, baking, visiting museums and playing ukulele.
DAPHNA TORBATI LUBKIN VP OF WEST COAST TREK
Daphna is a second-year MBA candidate at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, she worked in Professional Services at the SaaS company, Medallia, and at Morgan Stanley as an Investment Banking Analyst. Daphna holds a BA from UC Berkeley. In her free time, she enjoys trying new healthy recipes and spending time with her husband, Ben.
LUIS X RODRIGUEZ ALEMAN VP OF GROWTH & STRATEGY
Luis is a second year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, he worked as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, 3 years in Mexico and 1 year in the London Office. During this time, he worked abroad in NY, DC, LA, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Brazil, UK, Spain and UAE. Luis spent his summer in Seattle as a product management intern at Amazon, working specifically for the Amazon Fashion Private Label team, helping launch helpful features across the fashion supply chain. He is also a tutor for Business Analytics, Marketing and Capital Markets. He was born and raised in Mexico City. Luis enjoys eating-out, a fun party and deep conversations on astrophysics or quantum mechanics. He is also learning to play chess, so challenge him if you want to teach him some skills!
SUMMER DELANEY VP OF PARTNERSHIPS
Summer Delaney is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School focusing her studies at the intersection of technology and media. Prior to CBS, Summer was an award-winning journalist at outlets such as CNN, CBS Interactive, Yahoo and WPIX-TV. Summer worked her first year as a project consultant at News Corp and a content acquisition manager at Wilde, a streaming service start-up, before spending her summer at Amazon Studios doing program management. Outside of the classroom, you can find her trying to score last minute Broadway show tickets. exploring New York's restaurant scene or walking her dog Hudson in Central Park.
NEEL MODI VP OF CAREERS
Neel is a second year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS he was a R&D Team Leader in the electronics industry based out of Germany. He completed his Masters in Mechatronics out of University of Aachen in Germany. Neel spent his summer at McKinsey and Company in the digital function, working with clients primarily in the TMT industry. In his spare time, Neel can be found glued to the TV hoping for Manchester United’s glory days to come back.
MELISSA BLOTNER VP OF EDUCATION
Melissa is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, she worked as a Software Engineer and Team Lead for Novetta Solutions, specifically on the AgeonISR product. Melissa is also interested in Real Estate and interned this past summer as a Real Estate Development Intern at Extell Development Company in New York. She is particularly interested in the intersection of Real Estate and Technology, and in her free time enjoys sports and playing the guitar.
MARGRETHE (MARGE) WILLIAMS VP OF SPECIAL PROJECTS
Margrethe Williams (Marge) is a second-year MBA student at CBS. Prior to business school, Marge worked in tech consulting at Deloitte where she held roles focused on cybersecurity, strategy and operations, and product management. Marge spent the fall semester interning on the product team at edtech startup Springboard, and the summer as a product manager on the cloud team at Google. Marge is passionate about improving access to education and employment through technology, and is currently a CPRL fellow with the Columbia Law school as well as the learning + development chair on the CMC fellows board. Outside of work, she loves backpacking, pizza, and bar trivia.
LAUREN RUSSELL VP OF ALUMNI & COMMUNITY
Lauren is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS she has worked mostly within marketing and tech. Most recently, she worked at Draftline, Anheuser-Busch’s in-house creative agency, as a strategist, focused on launching digital campaigns for new seltzer brands. She has also previously worked at UberEATS and Refinery29. She spent her summer at Amazon working as Product Manager Intern within Amazon Fashion. She’s passionate about art, food and fashion.
NICOLINE BACH VP OF WEST COAST TREK
Nicoline is a second year MBA student at Columbia Business School. She is originally from Seattle, Washington and earned her bachelor's degree from Boston College. Through Teach For America, she spent two years as a high school math teacher in Chelsea, Massachusetts. She then moved to New York City to work at an education software company called DeansList, which supports K-12 schools with operations, school culture and data management (and was actually founded by two CBS alumni).
Nicoline spent her summer working at HubSpot in marketing as a strategy and partnerships intern. In her spare time, Nicoline enjoys hiking, running, skiing, cycling, and reading. Since moving to New York, she has continued to tutor students in math. Last year, she got into podcasting by launching the podcast "Please Unmute Yourself" where she and other CBS students interviewed each other about their backgrounds and experiences. Along with the TDA board, she is on the Outdoors Club and Nonprofit Board Leadership Program boards.

CHRISTY KANG VP OF PARTNERSHIPS
Christy Kang is a second-year MBA student at Columbia Business School, focused on technology and retail. Before CBS, Christy worked in the beauty industry. She led global marketing and business development efforts for Skinn Cosmetics, Benefit Cosmetics (LVMH), Sunday Riley, and Korres across North/South Americas, Europe, and the Asia Pacific. This past summer, Christy worked at Apple as a WW Retail Commerce & Digital Strategy intern. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, Pilates, and discovering neighborhood cafes! In addition to TDA, she serves as the Chair of the Silfen Leadership Speaker Series and VP of External for CEO (Columbia Entrepreneurs Organization).
SERENA WU VP OF CAREERS
Prior to CBS, Serena worked at investment banking in Hong Kong for five years and gained interest in tech & fintech. She interns at American Express’s Strategic Planning Group team this summer. She is also a proud CMC fellow and Peer Advisor for class 2022.
MALLIKA DEEPAK VP OF SPECIAL PROJECTS
Mallika is a second year MBA student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, she worked as a Consultant at the International Trade Centre (UN) in Switzerland and as a Research Analyst at the Boston Consulting Group in India. Mallika spent her summer as a Summer Associate at Kearney, helping a health services provider drive operational efficiency through product re-design. In her free time, Mallika loves to explore NYC’s restaurants, cook, and dance.
GARY REDMOND VP OF J-TERM & FINANCE
Gary is a second-year student at Columbia Business School. Prior to CBS, Gary was a Senior Manager in the Business Consulting practice at EY where he led global teams providing consulting services to the world’s leading technology, FinTech and social media companies including the delivery of IPO readiness projects for a number of Silicon Valley unicorns and the rollout of blockchain technology for a number of high-profile clients. Over his 8 years at the firm Gary was based in EY’s Dublin, Ireland; San Francisco, CA; and New York, NY offices and delivered projects in 27 countries. Gary holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from UCD, Dublin, Ireland and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation award by AICPA and CIMA UK. When he’s not watching a soccer or rugby game, Gary is an avid runner and enjoys cycling and travelling.
DAVID BENDES VP OF EMBA
David is the VP of Global Business Technology at Birchbox, where he leads Subscription Technology & Operations, Data, and Platform Product Management. He has ten years of exerience in early- and growth-stage technology ventures leading teams to deliver business-defining products, and is passionate about building innovative customer experiences and the technical and operational stacks that power them. David is an MBA candidate in the executive program at Columbia Business School and holds a BA from the University of Rochester, where he studied Economics, Computer Science, and Music and was a Kauffman Entrepreneurial Fellow. He also founded and plays drums in the Birchbox Band and serves on the New York Advisory Board of music education charity Little Kids Rock.
